The North Beach Football Club is currently enjoying one of the greatest winning streaks in senior football in any competition in Australia.
In winning the West Australian Amateur Football League A-Grade Grand Final on September 11, 2010, the club won its seventh successive senior pennant, which also means The Beach has secured 10 of the last 12 senior premierships – all under the direction of former Essendon star Bill Duckworth.
That run of seven consecutive premierships surpasses records in all other States at amateur level, but North Beach has no intention of easing back.
Established in 1964, North Beach took 25 years to won its first A-Grade title, but since then has flourished in a competition which continues to grow in stature as the premier amateur competition in the State.
Duckworth, the 1984 Norm Smith medallist has been central to the domination over the last 12 years, creating a winning culture but also finding the balance between success and an outstanding social environment.
To support the A-Grade title in 2010, the club also won its first A-Reserves premiership but thrives as a club providing players of all skills levels with the opportunity to play the greatest game in the world – Australian football.
The club boasts five senior teams and two colts teams and is based at Charles Riley Reserve, North Beach, just a couple of hundred metres off the spectacular coast of Perth's northern suburbs.
North Beach welcomes all prospective players to a club that thrives on the challenges of playing to the highest possible standards, but creates great unity and camaraderie through a vibrant social scene that is enjoyed by all players and supporters.

Pre-season starts quest (post on January 10, 2012)
By Gary Stocks
After a disappointing 2011 campaign North Beach is looking
forward to returning as a force in the competition this season.
During the off-season the club has taken the opportunity to
assess the short-comings of a season that did not produce a single premiership
and much work has been done to remedy a year of under achievement.
The A-Grade and A-Reserves were beaten in the preliminary finals
and other teams that made the finals all bowed out early.
With that pain lingering, the club will officially begin
pre-season training on Thursday, February 1 at Charles Riley Reserve. Senior
coach Bill Duckworth said everyone was looking forward to the opportunity of
taking the first physical steps towards atonement.
“Right across the club we were disappointed with the 2011
season,” Duckworth said. “We fell short of our own expectations and have spent
some time assessing the reasons for that.
“We have been recruiting aggressively, which is positive and
already we can feel a positive vibe around the upcoming season.
“There were a number of reasons for why we were short of the
mark last season and while you are winning you might gloss over some of the
issues. We believe we have taken some positive action, but the proof starts on
the track and that begins with pre-season training.”
After winning an Australian record of seven successive
A-Grade premierships, North Beach was pushed into third position when clearly
University and Mt Lawley were the benchmark clubs of 2011.
But the Beach is not prepared to concede that a magnificent era
has come to an end and is committed to rectify that situation, starting on
February 2 at 6pm. The club welcomes all players, looking to be a part of the
2012 season, whether they be A-Grade stars or contributors in the lower senior
grades or the under-19s to begin training on that evening.
With five senior teams and two under-19s teams, there is a
place at the club for players of all levels.
Colts kick into action (post on November 28, 2011)
The North Beach Colts will be the first group of players to
kick into life in preparation for the 2012 season with skills sessions every
Wednesday night at Monyash Reserve, Carine – starting this week.
Players from any grade are most welcome to attend as the
club’s emerging players dust off the cobwebs and start the slow, but steady
build-up to the official start of pre-season training on Thursday, February 2.
Monyash has been selected because the goal posts remain in
place and with the proximity of Carine Open Space, there is a track available
to complete the session with a run.
The Beach has been quite aggressive in pre-season recruiting
and some exciting announcements are imminent.
